"VALUE" Error Issue

Hi people,

I would like to ask a question regarding the use of Microsoft Excel in Office 365.

Being the middle-man for this issue, a team from the Marketing Department encounters an issue where the value/number is not updated normally like it should be, instead it shows "VALUE" just like in the attachment.

At first, I open all the individual Excel files one-by-one and finally I open the main Excel file. I get 2 errors right after opening the last file (see attachment):

Strangely, only 1 person in the team can edit the Excel file normally meaning it shows an actual number or value after calculation. And that person can also save the file without any issue.

Any help is utterly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Zixuan,

I want to copy the link from the Excel file but the link are jumbled up with symbols so I am unsure what exactly to copy.

    For example:

    =COUNTIF('https://p***.sharepoint.com/sites/M*/S***g/I***s/C***E/S***i/S***s/Sales_Admin/[JUBILEE.SA.xlsx]SA'!$Q$15:$Q$5000,">1/1/15")+J37+L37

Can you please point me in the right direction?

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Syazwan,

Thanks for your effort and time.

Please try the following steps and share the result with us at your convenience:

    1. Copy the link in the error message, paste it to the browser and check whether you and the users in that team can access that workbook.
    2. If you can access it, please click Edit in Excel to see whether it can be opened in Excel client.
    3. Moreover, as for the screenshot for the files in your computer you provided, could you and the user in that team provide a more complete picture like below:

    Best Regards,

    Zixuan

    Hi Zixuan,

    Sorry for the delay.

I just asked the Online Administrator about this issue. So far there are no changes in permission for all files shared throughout SharePoint as the permission is the same for all employees. She (Online Administrator) told me that the possible cause could be the naming convention of the files. Rather than the file name has underscore, it should be spelled without it to avoid such errors.

    Could that be the issue?

    Note:

I will ask the Marketing user about the file name whether it has been changed or not but only after your reply.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards.
