    Hi GaiK81,

We are glad to help you on this issue.

I just test by my side and I can import list to Access with the default “all items” view. I notice that you are trying to do that from OneDrive subsite, I also tried and I can’t reproduce the issue.

To narrow down the issue you have, please provide us the information below:

    1.       Does the issue only happen this specific list?

    2.       If you create a new view with the same view settings like the “All items”, can it work? If it works, at least, we find a workaround.

    3.       When did the issue happen? was there anything changed before that?

    Thanks,

    Rena

Hi! I only have 1 list.  I created a new VIEW "test" with the same view settings and i got the same respond from Access "could not find file"

It happened only a few weeks ago and I don't think we changed our import process or data fields.

Just an FYI - there are 2 of using the same database and both have tried a work around with no success.

    Thanks,

    Gail

    Hi Gail,

Thanks for the reply. Now we know that creating a new view with same settings of “All items” can cause the same issue. To further investigation, can you provide us the information below:

    1. Create a new test list, check whether the issue persists. So we can know if the issue only happen this specific list.
    2. Go to list settings > save list as template > give “File name” and “Template name” > untick “include content” so your data content will not be saved in this template >Go to list template gallery > select the template file > Go to “Files” tab > download a copy > provide us the template file via private message.  So we will test this template by our side to see if we can reproduce the issue.
    3. To check whether the issue can be caused by Office client app, please provide us the Office version information screenshot via opening Access > go to File > Account > Product Information. To protect your private, you can also provide us the Office version screenshot via private message.
    4. What do you mean about “there are 2 of using the same database”?

    Thanks,

    Rena

    Hi Gail,

Thanks for the updates. The Office version should be ok. As I have tested in the same version and it works well by my side.

For the new created testing list, you can just create a new simple list of 2 or 3 items.

You mentioned that “My database is located on a department server”, so I would like to confirm: If you create a new Access database file, store it in your local PC, check whether you can link SharePoint Online list to the database file.

In the meantime, refer to Issues when you retrieve SharePoint list data in Access, there can be some cause of such issue.

Is your list too large or complex? This can describe why the issue only happens when you in "All items" view.

If so, you can try the steps in the article to change the registry to increase the time-out in Access to see if there’s any changes.

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    Thanks,

Rena - there are not any issues when we retrieve the list via linking. Does "retrieve" only refer to importing?
