I already told you that this suggestion did not work when I tried it. Frankly, this entire exchange has been a waste of time.

2018-12-15T10:54:31+00:00 Hi Danssmith,
Sorry for the inconvenience it brings to you.
I have tested with many previous versions and even in version 16.14, the warning is still there.
I need to confirm the version you mentioned which doesn't have the warning.
Best Regards,
Gloria

2018-12-15T16:10:10+00:00 This reply makes no sense. The problem is that the pivot table remains connected to the original file even when I copy both the pivot table and the source page to the new file. There is no problem with the warning.

Does this information from Excel help address the issue? Specifically, do you see Edit Links on the Data tab of the Ribbon?

2018-12-15T17:01:22+00:00 The issue is not a broken link. The issue (AGAIN!) is that I have copied a pivot table and its source worksheet over to a new file but the pivot table remains linked to the original file. Edit links is grayed out.
