Conditional Formatting Font Color Not Working

I am trying to conditionally format my data in Office 365 Excel.  It will not allow me to change the font color in custom mode.

The dialogue box below comes up when I select Custom Format.  There is not a way for me to change the font other than font style.  It appears that there is other formatting on the cells, but I have tried to remove all previous formatting beforehand and it still gives me this.  If I select the color drop-down, it looks like it will allow  me to change, but when I select a color it reverts back to automatic.

In addition to Luellen's and Philip's comments, the keyboard navigation works pretty well but does not always allow you to pick any of the colors depending on the default palette you are using. This may be obvious, but since the color chooser works fine outside of the conditional formatting, you sometimes have to pick a color there, look at its RGB values, then follow the process described above to get to the custom colors window where you can enter the RGB values you wanted

I'm also having this issue. I was not able to select the colors by clicking (specifically green and blue). I was able to use the keyboard arrows to select. This is a bug.

Les, you are the man!!!  That fixed it for me as well, and I would never have thought of it.

    Thank you!

I've had exactly the same issue - quite clearly a bug in the Excel code and thank you so much for the tip re the 'M' via the keyboard (rather than mouse) to enable the More Colors option - this workaround worked it for me : )
