Hello,

Could someone please help me with how to reproduce a Drop Down Sort Column like the one shown.

I imported this spreadsheet but would like to reproduce the drop down sort columns as show for a new spreadsheet.

For example, if I click on the down arrow (carrot) for the Sector tab, I see this image.  How can I create the Sort Tab like "Sector" and then the filter shown here?

Hello, Thanks for your response. If I click anywhere in the column, then I get the drop down sort menu that I'm looking for, BUT all I get is ascending or descending.. How can I get more options for my "Sector" column which includes all the attributes in the column including:

So, that way I can sort for just Energy, or Financial Services.

I use Excel for Windows; clicking the filter arrows disolays a dropdown with both sort and filter options.

I hope that someone else with Excel for Mac can confirm whether it should be the same there.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your response.

When I clicked on the header, I was able to create the drop down menu.

But, it created the drop down for all the columns.

How can I remove the drop down from some of the other columns like Ticker, Name, Price.

I only need the drop down for Sector and Dividend.

And for Sector, I need more than the default filter which is Asending and Desending.

I need to sort according to:

    Hello,

Yes, I do get both the sort and filter options as shown here, but the question is, just how do add sort for the values in my "Sector" tab which includes Energy, Healthcare, Financial Services, Industrials, etc.

    Hello,

I was able to get the Sort to now show what I want which includes both the Sort and Filter options by creating a table for my Sort Column as shown below.

Now for my dumb question for the day.  The Sector name on the tab header is "greyed out" .  How do I change it to show Sector as my header which for some reason is on the next line down?
