Hello i have recently started using onenote to take notes for my classes, however i enjoy using handwriting with my apple pencil and having it converted into text like i have with other apps. There is no “ink to text”, only a “ink to shape”

MS team are you even reading the question / ask? All the folks here know that it is available on Win 10, we don't need you to tell us that.

The ask is to have the Ink to Text feature enabled for iPad OS in OnNote. Your copy paste responses without addressing the issue are of no use to anyone and quite frankly demeaning to your Office 365 customers who are requesting this feature be enabled for iPad.

Same issue here but I guess I will switch to apple notes app. To bad MS is not able to fix this in YEARS AND YEARS of complaint.

Another user disappointed in the fact that Onenote for iPad does not have ink to text. Surely by now this would be a simple addition and would make Onenote a complete note taking app across all platforms. Very frustrating as I want to use Onenote across all of devices and now realise that I cant.

I have just figured out how to take notes on the ipad and convert the ink to text on the laptop computer after the information syncs to the laptop. You have to select to treat the drawing as handwriting and then convert ink to text. Not ideal, but it is a decent workaround.

Microsoft didn't take it seriously while competing note-taking software did much much better on iPad OS.
