Sharepoint Edit in Grid View issue

We have a sharepoint list, that for some reason now, upon editting in Grid view, adds an exclamation mark and when trying to exit grid view, states "You need to fix some problems before we can save your changes" or you can use "Go Fix Them" button.. Using the button does nothing.. Exiting, it does not save?

Other lists work fine?

We have tried to create a new view of the list, but with no success.

Any ideas?

    If you click the "go fix them" option, it may give you an idea about what's preventing the list being saved. Usually that would be an empty required field, or content of the wrong type in a field. Support here could be more helpful by providing a list of the things that block saving from gridview.

    Yes tried that... This is the issue too.. Nothing happens when you use that option. After exiting, the updates arent saved.. The issue can happen even when it is a change against just 1 list item..?

    I was having the same issue. In my list view, I had removed the Title column. As soon as I put that column back the issue disappeared.

    For some unknown reason (unless MS has fixed something) the grid view appears to be working again.. Not 100%.. We we are still getting the issues if trying to edit items that were created approx 4+ months ago. But more recent created/modified it is now allowing us to edit via the Grid....

    Very strange??

    Hi Chris,

    There might be glitch or something which is resolved now that is now enabling you to edit the items in grid view.

    Besides, based on JBella#'s comment, I tested, I see the same behavior if Title column is not added to the view, it gives the error "You need to fix some problems........". Since you mentioned, you can edit recently created/modified items, I believe you already have Title column visible and I understand the issue is with a specific list only, in this scenario, for the old items if you do not have many, I suppose if you can modify the items when required that may enable the items to be edited in grid view without any error.
