Sharepoint Edit in Grid View issue

Question

We have a sharepoint list, that for some reason now, upon editting in Grid view, adds an exclamation mark and when trying to exit grid view, states "You need to fix some problems before we can save your changes" or you can use "Go Fix Them" button.. Using the button does nothing.. Exiting, it does not save?

Other lists work fine?

We have tried to create a new view of the list, but with no success.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem. When I use "Go fix them" SharePoint puts a question mark in red to show the lines which contain errors. However, clicking on the question mark does not work, so I still do not know what is wrong with that line. Probably the filename is already existing, but when I change it, SharePoint still does not accept it.

Hi W8ing4u,

Please verify if your view has hidden required fields. If so, temporarily set the required field visible on the view or use a view that has the required field visible, see if this makes any difference.
