If I protect the whole sheet, this will hide the formulas? Can I just protect certain cells? It looks like I can do that, but it says to highlight the cells I want to protect.

Can I select a couple of cells and then skip down to another cell and select it too, leaving the cells in between unselected?

I just want to protect certain cells. I want them to be able to enter data

in the other cells and get the calculated value. Just don't want them to see the formula in the resulting cell. Does protecting all the cells let them change the cells without formulas and get the result in the cell that has the formula?

You can not protect just a few cells, you can protect the whole sheet or not. And you have to live with the side effects. Please read the help.

Any cell has the Locked property set by default, if you protect the sheet all cells are locked. Remove the Locked property for all cells you want to use as input.

Only the cells which has the Hidden property set does not show the formulas inside the Formula Bar. By default no cell has this property.

Please try by yourself what I've shown in my animated picture, it is not difficult.

    Andreas.

How do I hide formulas in Excel?

John - did you test my proposed solution that works perfectly OK on my configuration?

I also tested on hiding the formulae contained in multiple cells and that worked too.
