Gap between columns in a Table

There is a template in Microsoft Word called "tactical business marketing plan". On the last page of the template, there is a table. I would appreciate it if anyone can please explain how the gap is created between the columns. Thanks!

    Thank you for the additional information and screenshot. It appears that the gap between the columns in the table is achieved by using vertical borders with white shading.

    You can create a vertical border with white shading to simulate a gap between columns.

    Use the Borders and Shading dialog box and carefully choose the type of border to apply. Word's default suggestion will usually be a table or cell border when the insertion point is in a table. In this case, you need to specify that you want a paragraph border.

    Best I can do is use borders in paragraph group

    This is a border applied to the paragraph rather than the table cell.
