2023-02-21T14:26:24+00:00 Hi,
I'm Sneha and I'd be happy to help you out with your question. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
It seems that the issue you are experiencing may be related to Excel's settings. To change the settings so that the selected columns or rows are highlighted, follow these steps:
- Open Excel and click on the "File" tab in the top-left corner.
- Click on "Options" at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
- In the Excel Options window, click on "Advanced" in the left-hand menu.
- In the Editing options section, make sure that the "Extend data range formats and formulas" checkbox is selected.
- In the Display options for this worksheet section, make sure that the "Show selection" checkbox is selected.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
If these settings were already selected, you may also want to check that the "Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop" option is selected in the Advanced options, as this can sometimes affect the selection highlighting.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to try resetting Excel to its default settings again, as this can sometimes help with persistent issues.
If you have any other questions or need assistance with anything, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm here to help to the best of my ability.

2023-02-21T15:12:07+00:00 Thank you for your answer.
I checked:
- "Extend data range formats and formulas" checkbox is selected
- There is no "Show selection" checkbox in the Display options for this worksheet section :(
Checked that the "Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop" option is selected in the Advanced options.
Restored excel to default settings again. Restarted computer.
No results...
More ideas?
Thank you
