After creating the pivot table from the data set, I am having trouble changing the report layout to tabular. I have searched for the "design" tab in order to do this, but I cannot find it.

THere is no design tab in excel online. Select the PivotTable tab, then click the Settings button, and there is a Layout section in the task pane.

    Hello and thank you!

I am using Excel for the web because it is through the account provided by my college. Am I able to access in the desktop app with this type of account?

    Dear A Fraz,

Thanks for writing back and updating us the further information.

The design tab is only available on the Excel app on Windows and Mac. Since you are using Excel for the web, the design tab doesn't present even after selecting the cell in Pivot Table.

It would be ideal if we can add this feature to Excel for the web. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You can send your feedback on our feedback web portal https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/. Our Product Team is constantly checking the comments and feedback from our customers to improve our products.

At last, since your Office 365 account is provided by the college, please go to the subscriptions page and see whether you are having the license "The latest desktop version of Office". If yes, then you can use Office apps, open the Excel file in the browser and see whether you have it open in the desktop app at the top. If yes, please click on it to see the outcome.

If you never installed Office apps on your device, please install the Office apps and sign in with your Office 365 account. Reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/install-office-apps-from-office-365-dcf2d841-dac7-455b-9a77-fc8f7ee92702

Sorry for your inconvenience and hope you can understand!

    Best Regards,
