Recently whenever I try to edit an embedded Excel chart in PowerPoint, I get a message shown in the attached screenshot. I am using Office 365 for Business and the files are stored on OneDrive. I have the latest updates installed.

Request assistance to resolve this issue.

    Thanks.

As I wrote, indeed when saving to local folder things are working fine.

The error that needs addressing is just when saving to OneDrive.

Nobody here can make any changes to PowerPoint, but if you use the Send Feedback feature built into PowerPoint to report the problem, that'll get it in front of people who can make the fix.

Dear Ido and Ronald J. Menezes,

Very sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused.

Considering that the same error message occurs in both PowerPoint for Windows and PowerPoint on Mac, the best way to troubleshoot the situation further is to report it to the related team who has higher permission to do investigation from back end. The more reports they receive from different customers, the more likely they will be able to find something affects users in common. This is the best way to let the developers aware of the situation and do investigation for the issue.

So, I suggest you raise a support ticket from the Office 365 admin center, where the related team will collect logs and find out the cause of the problem. This would be the most efficient way in handling this case for you.

Note: To create a support ticket, you need to have Microsoft 365 admin privileges and if you aren’t admin of your Office 365 organization, please contact the admin of creating a new ticket.
