I have one folder shared on my OneDrive with my team, inside the folder I have word file and excel file. There's no issue on the word while when it open by some user at the same time, every user can change the content and other user can see the changing.
The issue happen on excel file (been around few months) and no idea why?
If I open excel file, then other user open the same file, it's been read-only access. I've search many times online for the solution but no clue yet.
Here the pop up when user try to edit on read-only access:

Hello Tri,
Thanks for your patience.
I understand you are having issue with collaboration on your excel document. You want every user that has access to the document to make changes on it in real time.
I suspect that the right permission was not granted on the document.
To set permission on an excel document do the following:
Sign into your Microsoft account. Click on Excel. Open the document. Click on Share at the top right corner of your screen. Enter the names, or emails or group you want to share the document with. Beside the biro icon, Click on the drop-down box and select Can edit. Click Send.
You will see that anyone with the link can edit.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Basically microsoft have forced obscelecence on their older products and broken Sync for everyone except 365 users.
Hi Josh,
Yesterday we just realized that one of our member change her laptop that still using Office 2016, so we assume that it cause the issue. And our plan today is uninstalled those version and reinstall using Office 365 version. Will let you know what the result once it done.
