Synapse Serverless Database DMV

Question

Hi Guys,

Do we have any DMV, which can provide, top bad queries, number of user login, Actively running queries etc for Synapse SQL server less pool?

Which would be handy for troubleshooting, bad performing queries or whether we need data pruning of files or further splitting of files etc.

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Synapse serverless SQL pool supports SQL Server catalog views only.

For more details, refer System views supported in Synapse SQL.

You can view the actively running/ended queries for Synapse SQL serverless pool from the monitoring tab.

This article1 and atricle2 explains how to monitor your SQL requests, allowing you to keep an eye on the status of running requests and discover details of historical requests.

From Azure Portal => Monitoring Tab => Metrics you can monitor (data processed, Number of login attempts, Number of ended SQL requests).
