Instead of my files saving to my computer some of them save to https://d.docs.live.net.53e22b9e14726e2e.

    The d.docs.live.net location means OneDrive.

If you are saying that you want to save everything locally, select the option "Save to Computer by default" and also specify a "Default local save location" at File > Options > Save.

Any documents that are currently saved to the cloud or synchronized via the local OneDrive folder must be moved out of that location.

The last three days my files are being saved by default to One Drive, that is d.docs.live.net. I think it is because I was trying to upload some files to One Drive three days ago. Now, I want all my files saved locally to my computer. Where do I find the option "Save to computer by default?" Please provide the click-by-click location. If the starting point is the "G" blue button in the upper right, please direct me starting with the G button.

    I am using Windows 10 or 11.

    GF.

I have been troubleshooting this issue on a friend's PC just this past weekend, documents on OneDrive (Word, Excel) which you open in the program were lacking the file name in the program header (and location), and if you used the "Save as" button the file name was overwritten by "d.docs.live.net" by default.

The SOLUTION to the program was the FOLDER structure on OneDrive. My friend had the usual root folders like Desktop, Photos, Documents, Music etc. and then in the Documents folder there was *ANOTHER* Documents folder which appeared to also be somehow a system folder (the icon color was different). Only when dealing with files that send subfolder "Documents" the issue occured. The solution was to move all of the content up one level, into the original Documents folder.

Depending on the screen resolution and the size of the Word window, you may have to click File > More > Options rather than just File > Options.

The Options dialog box has a category called Save:

Posted a similar solution here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365/everything-being-re-labelled-as-d-docs-drive-and-not-saving-on/m-p/4160102

Seems that it just needs to rename the subfolder "Documents". No needs to move all up one level.
