Default value date and time not displaying in my SharePoint lists

None of my SharePoint lists are pulling in the current date and time when i set the default value as "todays date" The section is blank. Almost as if the SharePoint site is unable to locate the date a rime from anywhere. I have tried the regional settings in the SharePoint site but that has made no difference. I have set it to a different region and then set it back to London etc

It also doesn't work if I use the calculated value and use =NOW() - Same issue just a blank box. it was working for a week prior to this bug displaying.

I think that SharePoint is not locating the current time from our region some of the users are reporting that they are 2 hours ahead of the time Zone when looking at their contact card on team.

this site is not allowing me to set up a screenshot sorry.

I haven't even seen this escalated to being an issue.

If you have this problem, please go to https://portal.office.com/adminportal?#/servicehealth/reportedissues and report it. That's how it becomes an issue and gets fixed.

Do I need some type of special access to access and submit an issue? My work credentials must be limited:

Yes, you need to be one of these admins:

    • Billing
    • Helpdesk
    • Office Apps
    • Service Support

So, I've done this, description exactly the same as this ticket to make it clear it's this problem.

After a day they've now just marked my report as 'No issue found'.

Unsurprisingly it didn't fix anything and I'm still experiencing it.

Still experiencing the issue on our list as well.

Just to give everyone a heads up I have hidden the date and time from the "add new item view". The date and time is still captured and displays as correct and also displays within the list once the item is created. This means that we still capture today's date and time by default and it's presented in the data it just displays as blank when you add the new item.

I recommend hiding it from your add new item view and you should still get the date and time once the item is created. However this doesn't fix the issue and it's still present so I don't know why no effort has been made to fix it.
