Erratic search function

In MS OneNote Version 2409 Build 16 run in MS Office 365 on a PC without cloud synching, I find the search function inconsistent in when it does and doesn't find the same ASCII string across notes. For instance, it will sometimes find a given string within the session in which this has been typed or pasted, but not in a subsequent session.

    Good day!

    I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of clarity in the guidelines.

    For business subscriptions, administrator users can contact Microsoft Support from the Administrator Center. The opening ticket means that when you contact Microsoft Support after following the steps below, there will be a ticket number to record the service, not a button.

    1. Go to the admin center at https://admin.cloud.microsoft. If you get a message that says you don't have permission to access this page or perform this action, you aren't an admin. For more information, see Who has admin permissions in my business?.
    2. On the bottom right side of the page, select Help & support.
    3. Type a question or keyword into the text box. If you get a drop-down list, select the one closest to your question, or continue typing your question, then press Enter.
    4. If the AI results don't help, at the bottom, select Contact Support to contact Microsoft supporter.

    Dear Tin,

    I am very sorry if I a being stupid here. But I have double - and then triple - checked what you are trying to advise me to do. I am regret that - despite spending considerable further time - I simply cannot make sense of it.

    The website you link me to is several pages long. There is no mention anywhere of how to get a "ticket". The most relevant part seems to be the phone system that I already repeatedly tried and which failed every time.

    The previous reply of yours that you refer to did not seem to say anything different from the present one. So I am drawing a blank about what it is that you are guiding me to do. Perhaps this an indirect way to find there is nothing I can do?

    I realise that these system difficulties are not of your making. So please do not take any of this as a criticism.

    I would like to make sure that you have tried the method mentioned in my previous reply: opening the ticket in the Administrator center, so that you can contact Microsoft support directly.

    Dear Tin,

    Thanks for this advice. I called several times both the numbers at the site you directed me to. There was no email address provided there. The automated phone answering system several times left me hanging at an early stage with no response, requiring me to repeatedly redial. When the system finally engaged with my call, it told me that phone assistance is not in fact available and that I must contact an email address instead. When I contacted the link that was texted to me, I was then told that I have no access by this means. So, after considerable time, I am left with no response at all.

    Please help by giving me a precise url for the support you mention.
