Visual Basic runtime error 1004 after updating Excel for Mac 365 yesterday

I updated Excel for Mac (365) yesterday. I now get a pop up that says:

                            Visual Basic for Applications

Run-time error '1004':

Method 'Name" of object 'Addin' failed.

Help End

When I click End, Excel seems to work ok, but I'm not sure whether this VB error will cause problems with my complex spreadsheets.

It seems the update either (a) has a bug, or (b) didn't load correctly (although it verified itself before opening after the update).

How can I delete Excel and re-download it?

Thanks

It seems that the add-in "Acrobatexceladdin" is the problem (for me).

No more error for me after i disabled that under Tools -> Excel Add-ins...

Thank you - this worked for me. Seems odd that a $3 Trillion company would refer help questions to Stack Overflow.

This fixed it for me. Thanks! Just another example of how acrobat gets its tendrils into things without asking and then causing problems.

I am also having this issue and I do not have any add ons. Running excel Version 16.89.1 and on MAC OSX 14.6. The error appears when opening any file, new or otherwise.
