Multiple Questions display in Microsoft Forms Survey when branching is turned on

I have created a survey (unable to share the link publicly) in Microsoft Forms.
CALLOUTS:

  • I have 2 sections in the Survey.
  • All questions in both sections are marked as required.
  • All Text questions have a minimum Length requirement of 25 characters.
  • I'm not having any issues with Section 1 (questions are not branched)

The issue lies In Section 2.

SECTION 2 SETUP:

  • Question 1 is a Choice question (so I can branch), that has a formatted as a drop down to select an option of Not at All, Somewhat, and Extremely.
  • Question 2 is a Long-Answer Text question to elaborate on the selection made in Question 1. This question also has a length requirement of at least 25 characters.
  • Question 3 is another Choice question (so I can branch), that has a drop down to select an option of Not at All, Somewhat, and Extremely.
  • I have added branching for each question:
    • Question 1 if they select Not at All, it moves to the next Choice question (Question 3).
      • If they select Somewhat or Extremely it branches to Question 2
        • Question 2 branches to Question 3.
        • Again, all responses are marked as required

EXPECTED RESULT: After selecting Somewhat or Extremely in Question1, Question 2 should display by itself to respond. After entering a response that meets the length requirements, Question 3 should display.
OR
Next button displays at the bottom of Question 2 so it doesn't automatically display Question 3.

ACTUAL RESULT: Question 3 is displayed at the same time as Question 2 even though branching is turned on. SAY WHAT?!?

**IDEA OF POSSIBLE SOLUTION:**I would like to be able to display the questions one at a time. All the Support articles advise to turn on branching, which I've done; but If I could display the survey questions in a "card" format (WITHOUT separating every single grouped question into a Section) so it literally only shows 1 question at a time regardless if it branches or not, that would be super helpful, but I can't figure out how to do this. OR if a Next/Submit button could be added to Question 2 and then branch to Question 3 once submitted, that would be helpful as well.

What am I doing wrong? Please help as this is super frustratiing!
