We have recently purchased 30 Microsoft 365 A3 faculty licenses under our AICTE-approved institution. However, the corresponding Student Use Benefit licenses are not appearing in our Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

Kindly assist in enabling the Student Use Benefit for our tenant so we can assign the eligible student licenses (up to 1,200) accordingly.

    Hi @Sai Teja Kadiri,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding your issue, if you want to enable the Student Use Benefit for your tenant, here are a few steps you can try:

    1. Verify academic eligibility
    1. Sign in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center

    Go to: admin.microsoft.com

    1. Acquire Student Use Benefit licenses
    • Navigate to Billing > Purchase services (in some case it could be Marketplace)
    • Search for Microsoft 365 A3 Student Use Benefit.
    • Click Get (it will show as $0.00).
    • Complete the checkout process (no payment required).
    • After activation, licenses will appear under Billing > Licenses.
    1. Assign licenses to students
    • Go to Users > Active users.
    • Select a student > Licenses and apps > Assign the SUB license.
    • For multiple students, use bulk assignment.

Still don’t see SUB in Purchase Services?

    • Ensure your tenant is marked as an educational institution.
    • Submit a Service Request: The Global Admin should create a service request with Microsoft support to get advanced technical assistance and diagnostics. For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.
    • Contact a Reseller (if applicable): If your Office 365 subscriptions are managed through a federated partner or reseller and the Global Admin cannot open a service request, they should contact the reseller’s support provider. The reseller can assist with initiating the request and coordinating with the Office 365 support team.

If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
