Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am writing to request the removal of a payment card from my company's Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Unfortunately, I mistakenly added my personal credit card to the account and now find that I am unable to remove it without adding another card, which I do not have available.

please help me remove the card as soon as possible?

Here are the account details for reference:

  • Account: Remove PII
  • Payment Method: Credit card

Thank you for your assistance.

    Dear @Enos Kawina

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.  I understand you’d like to remove a personal credit card from your Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

To better understand and solve the problem you are facing, could you help me with the following?

    1. Is the card currently linked to any active subscriptions
    2. Do you intend to keep your subscriptions active or cancel them?

The reason you cannot remove the card is that the Microsoft 365 Admin Center requires at least one valid payment method to be associated with an active subscription to prevent any disruption in service.

For security and privacy reasons, community members cannot access your account details or make changes. Therefore, the most direct and secure way to handle this is by contacting the official Microsoft 365 Business Support team. They have the necessary tools to verify your account and assist with removing the payment method directly.

    Contact Microsoft 365 Business Support:

This is the fastest and most effective method for billing issues. They can handle your request over the phone after verifying your identity as the account administrator.

    • Online Ticket: You can also create a service request directly from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Create a support ticket from Microsoft 365 Admin Center>Support>Help & Support. You can raise support ticket from https://admin.microsoft.com/#/support/requests

For a detailed guide with images and additional information, you can refer to this official Microsoft support article: Get help or support for Microsoft 365

I highly recommend pursuing contact support via raise ticket for the quickest and most secure resolution. The official support team is equipped to handle exactly this type of request.

I hope this helps you get the issue resolved promptly.
