Why can I not use an Access Dataset as a source in a dataflow?

I have a dataset created for an Access DB, but when I create a data flow and go to choose from the list of datasets, it is not there. Additionally, if I click on new dataset from that point, the option to choose Access is greyed out and I am unable to select it. How do I use my Access DB as a source for a data flow?

    Hi @Perkins, Zane ,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for posting your query here.

Data Flows doesn't supports Access DB connector at this moment. Click here to know about all connectors and their supporting activities.

As a work around you can try to load your Access DB data in to ADLS Gen2 Storage first using copy activity and then use Data flows to read data from ADLS Gen2 and perform transformations as per requirement. Thank you.

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
