I just finished a MS Teams meeting that I was recording and transcribing. Once the meeting is terminated where do I access meeting recording and transcript?

    Hi @Alberini, Mark,
Thank you for posting your question to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

Meeting recordings and transcripts are critical for your work, so I’ve provided straightforward steps to ensure you can access them quickly.

After a Microsoft Teams meeting ends, both the recording and transcript are stored based on your organization’s settings:

    • Meeting Chat: You can find the recording link and transcript file directly in the meeting chat.
    • Storage Location:
      • Private meetings → Organizer’s OneDrive
      • Channel meetings → SharePoint
    • Access via Calendar:
      • Go to Teams → Calendar → Select the meeting → Recording link
    • Transcript Access:
      • Go to Teams → Calendar → Select the meeting → Details → Transcript tab
      • Transcripts are saved in OneDrive/SharePoint alongside the recording.

     Notes:

    • Processing may take a few minutes after the meeting ends.
    • If you don’t see the transcript option, check with your IT admin, Live transcription must be enabled in Teams policies.

You can find information about this in this article: Recording and transcription for Teams meetings, events, and calls

After your Microsoft Teams meeting has finished, you can access the meeting recording and transcript as follows:

    1. Location: The meeting recordings are stored in the organizer's OneDrive or SharePoint storage, depending on the type of meeting. You should check the respective location where the recording is saved.
    2. Accessing Transcripts: You can use Microsoft Graph APIs to retrieve the transcripts and recordings. Your app can be configured to fetch these after the meeting ends. The transcript content is available as a .vtt file, while the recording is available as an .mp4 file.
    3. Notifications: If you have set up notifications, your app can receive alerts when the transcript and recording are available, allowing you to access them promptly.

For more detailed steps on using Graph APIs to fetch these files, you can refer to the relevant documentation.
