multiple account problem...

I had a student account through my college, but I wanted a paid account so I could create access tokens for my app. Unfortunately, the only rights I seem to have is to the free account and it ignores the Developer subscription that I created. So, I can't create the access token. I know this is a noob question but it has me stopped in my tracks trying to start using Azure.

TIA,

Patrick

    Hey there, Patrick Roebuck

You can have multiple subscriptions on one account. I have an Azure Student subscription and a pay as you go subscription on the same tenant.

Please can you sign into your tenant here: https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_Billing/SubscriptionsBladeV2

Once you have signed into your tenant, please can you click onto 'Add'

You should be able to add the subscription there.

Hope this helps & happy holidays,
    Nathan

It sounds like you are encountering issues with managing multiple accounts in Azure. If you have both a student account and a paid account, ensure that you are signing in with the correct account that has the necessary permissions to create access tokens. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Account Type: Make sure you are using your work or school account for the Developer subscription. Sometimes, personal accounts can conflict with work or school accounts.
    2. Switch Directories: If you have multiple accounts, try switching directories in the Azure portal to ensure you are accessing the correct subscription. You can do this by selecting your account in the upper right corner of the Azure portal and choosing "Switch directory".
    3. Verify Subscription Access: Ensure that your Developer subscription is active and that you have the right permissions. You can check your subscription status in the Azure portal under "Cost Management + Billing".
    4. Contact Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Azure support for assistance with your account settings and permissions.

These steps should help you resolve the issue and enable you to create access tokens for your app.
