I am following the guide on how to deploy MS365 LTI in Brightspace: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/lti/microsoft-365-lti-brightspace?view=o365-worldwide
Towards the end, the paragraph "To add links to your Navigation..." says #5: "For the URL, select Insert Quicklink, and then Microsoft Education". Does this refer to the Basic Launch link or the Widget link?

In any case, I do not have "Microsoft Education" as an option. Why is that? I have completed all previous steps.

Hello @Birgitte Balslev

Good day! Thank you for posting your valuable question on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Since this question was submitted under the Business tag, I’d like to clarify that Microsoft 365 LTI is not a Business tool. It is designed for Education environments, and scenarios involving Education tools may not be supported under Microsoft 365 Business.

If you do have an Education environment and are looking to deploy Microsoft 365 LTI in Brightspace, please note that this scenario is currently out of scope for Microsoft 365 Office support, which focuses on built‑in features. It also requires access to a Brightspace environment to perform testing, which is not available to me at this time.

To help you get accurate and timely assistance, I recommend the following supported options:

1. Repost your question in the Brightspace Community or contact D2L Support directly

The Brightspace Community and D2L Support are the appropriate channels for LMS-specific questions.

Users and support engineers there have the required tools and expertise to address Brightspace-related deployment and configuration issues.

However, while doing research for your case, I found some discussions that may be related to your issue:

2. Contact Microsoft Support

The Microsoft Support team has access to deeper diagnostic tools and can assist with step-by-step guidance, including remote sessions if needed.

For Business/Education Support:

  • Submit a Service Request: The Microsoft 365 Admin should create a service request with Microsoft support to get advanced technical assistance and diagnostics. For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.
  • Important Note: If your Office 365 subscriptions are managed through a federated partner or reseller and the Microsoft 365 Admin cannot open a service request, they should contact the reseller’s support provider. The reseller can assist with initiating the request and coordinating with the Office 365 support team.

I apologize for redirecting you, but I want to avoid providing incomplete or unsuitable information. These channels will help ensure you receive the most relevant and effective support.

If you have any updates to share, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment. Thank you for reaching out!
