Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Based on your description, your Microsoft/Minecraft account was compromised. The hacker was able to remove the account's primary email address/security info and replace it with their own email address.

The only way to recover a hacked account is through the official Microsoft troubleshooter guide:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-recover-a-hacked-or-compromised-microsoft-account-24ca907d-bcdf-a44b-4656-47f0cd89c245

If the account recovery web form doesn't work, and since the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

However, I would recommend reaching out to Microsoft Support immediately as they can possibly "Suspend" the account permanently once they have confirmed that the account can no longer be recovered in order to prevent the hacker from using it:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Microsoft 365 sign-in problem" > Click "Get Help" > Scroll down and select the option "Sign in to contact Support" > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Account Profile Questions > Confirm > then select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser"

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

The account and game can only be recovered through the official Microsoft account recovery and hacked-account process. If the hacker changed the sign‑in email and security info, recovery may not be possible.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Run through the hacked/compromised account guide
    2. Try to recover the Microsoft account
      • If sign‑in is no longer possible because the email/alias was changed, use the Microsoft account recovery form (ACSR) as described in the Q&A guidance:
        • Go to the ACSR page (https://account.live.com/acsr as referenced in the context) and enter the hacked email plus an alternate contact email.
        • Provide as much accurate information as possible (old passwords, when the account was created, devices used, etc.).
      • If the form or the sign‑in helper says the account does not exist or recovery fails, there is no other supported way to regain access to that Microsoft account. Support cannot bypass this.
    3. Use the Sign‑in Helper if you just cannot sign in
      • If the problem is simply sign‑in (not a removed alias), use the Sign-in Helper from the “I can’t sign in to my Microsoft account” article. It will detect common issues and guide through self‑help or support options.
    4. If the account still exists but the password stopped working
      • Use the “Recover your account” flow: Recover your account as described in “My username and password have stopped working”.
      • Follow the steps to receive a security code and set a new password, if the original security info is still on the account.
    5. If the Microsoft account truly cannot be recovered
      • As stated in the referenced Q&A answer, if the hacker has replaced all security info and the recovery form fails, there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account.
      • For Minecraft specifically, contact Minecraft Support separately (as suggested in the Q&A) with proof of purchase and account details to see if they can help move or restore game entitlements to a different Microsoft account.
    6. For future protection
      • After recovery or on any new account, go to Security basics and:
        • Set a strong, unique password.
        • Enable additional security tools such as Microsoft Authenticator where appropriate.
      • Regularly review Recent activity for unusual sign‑ins and immediately secure the account if anything suspicious appears.

If the recovery form and hacked‑account guide both fail and the account is reported as non‑existent or unrecoverable, the Microsoft account itself cannot be restored; only Minecraft Support may be able to help with the game license.
