Access to a Microsoft Learn profile and its certifications requires the ability to sign in with at least one valid Microsoft account that is linked to that profile. If the email (username) used for the AZ‑900 exam in 2022 is not remembered, follow these steps:
- Look up possible Microsoft accounts
- Use the guidance in Forgotten your Microsoft account username to identify which email address is associated with the Microsoft account that might hold the certification.
- Try all personal, work, or school email addresses that may have been used when registering for the exam.
- Recover access to the Microsoft account
- If the username is known but the password does not work, follow My username and password have stopped working.
- If the password is forgotten, use Reset a forgotten Microsoft Account Password.
- If sign-in issues persist (for example, the account is not recognized), use the Microsoft Account Help self‑service options described under Get help with your Microsoft account.
- Sign in to Microsoft Learn and check the profile
- After recovering the correct Microsoft account, sign in to Microsoft Learn.
- Open the profile and verify under Credentials → Certifications whether AZ‑900 appears.
- If multiple Learn profiles exist under different login accounts, repeat this check for each possible account.
- If the original personal Microsoft account cannot be recovered
- If access to the personal Microsoft account used for the exam is permanently lost and no alternate work or school account was added to that Learn profile, access to that Learn profile and its certifications cannot be restored.
- Microsoft Credentials Support cannot assist with recovery of personal Microsoft accounts and cannot transfer or restore the contents of a Learn profile that cannot be accessed.
- If the account is accessible but the certification is missing
- Use the Missing Exams or Certifications guidance to verify that the correct Learn profile is in use and that the credential should appear.
- If AZ‑900 is still missing after confirming the correct profile and requirements, contact Microsoft Credentials Support for further assistance with missing credentials.
