In most cases, Microsoft 365 subscriptions don’t overlap for credit or refunds. Instead, they usually stack or extend the existing subscription.
A couple of quick questions to check your situation:
- Did you already activate the free Microsoft 365 that came with your HP laptop?
- What subscription do you currently see when you go to https://account.microsoft.com/services ?
- Do you see an extended expiry date there?
If the bundled subscription was activated using the same Microsoft account, it should automatically extend your current plan rather than give credit.
If you activated it on a different account, then it will stay separate and won’t affect your paid subscription.
