Microsoft Certification Not Generated After Passing Exam (Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect via Pearson VUE)

I recently took and passed the Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect certification exam through Pearson VUE in an in-person testing center. However, my certification has not yet been generated or दिखाई in my Microsoft Learn profile.

It has been some time since I completed the exam, and I want to confirm whether there is a delay in processing or if there might be an issue with my certification record. My exam result showed as “passed” immediately after completion.

Could you please help me understand:

  • How long it typically takes for the certification to appear
  • Whether I need to take any additional steps to claim or verify it
  • What I should do if the certificate is still not generated after the expected time

Exams are not certifications. The AB-100 exam is only part of the requirements for the Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect Expert certification. You must also hold one of the prerequisite certifications https://learn.microsoft.com/credentials/certifications/agentic-ai-business-solutions-architect

For most Microsoft certification exams delivered via Pearson VUE, results are available within minutes and the certification typically appears in the Microsoft Learn profile (Certifications tab) within 24 hours. If the exam was passed and the certification is not visible after this normal processing window, the issue is usually related to account linkage or a profile mismatch rather than the exam result itself.

Based on the available guidance, follow these steps:

    1. Verify the expected certification and requirements
      • Confirm that the exam passed actually grants a Microsoft Certification and that all required exams for that certification are completed. This can be checked on the relevant certification or exam details page under the certification or exam details pages.
    2. Check the correct Microsoft Learn profile
      • Sign in to Microsoft Learn and open the profile.
      • Go to Credentials → Certifications and look for the new certification.
      • If it is missing, verify that the correct login account is being used:
        • If multiple Microsoft accounts (personal, work, or school) exist, sign out and try each account that might have been used when registering for the exam.
        • If a shared computer was used at registration or test time, ensure that the sign-in was done with the intended account.
      • If a “Congratulations” email was received, use the profile link in that email and confirm whether the certification appears there. If not, it may have been associated with a different profile.
    3. Allow for normal processing time
      • Although most results appear within minutes and up to 24 hours in the Learn profile, if it has been longer than that and the certification is still not visible after confirming the correct account, treat it as a support issue.
    4. If the certification is still missing
      • Use the official “Missing Exams or Certifications” guidance:
        • Re-check credential requirements and profile as above.
        • Note that some legacy or Certiport-based certifications do not appear in the Learn profile, but Pearson VUE–delivered role-based/professional certifications normally do.
      • If the certification still does not appear, contact Microsoft Credentials Support so the account and exam record can be reviewed and corrected:
    5. When to escalate
      • If more than 24 hours have passed since the “passed” result and:
        • The correct Learn account has been confirmed, and
        • The certification does not appear under Credentials → Certifications, and
        • Pearson VUE confirms the exam is passed and transmitted,
      • Then open a ticket with Microsoft Credentials Support with as much detail as possible (exam name, date, testing provider, and screenshots of the Pearson VUE confirmation and Learn profile). Support can reconcile the exam record with the Learn profile.

No additional “claim” action is normally required beyond passing the exam and ensuring the same Microsoft account is used for registration and Learn sign-in. Once the records are correctly linked, the certification and its badge should appear automatically in the Learn profile and transcript.
