Today I switch emails on this account, but it made the email I removed that was hotmail and now it is go, from what I have looked at there was meant to be a pop up saying that it would get removed but I did not get such a pop up. Is there anyway that I can get that email back in place so it’s not such a hassle

If this alias is an outlook.com, a recent change from Microsoft would have allowed you to add it back to the same Microsoft account.

However, since this is a hotmail.com, it is gone permanently once deleted as alias. I am sorry.

Removing a Hotmail/Outlook.com address from the Microsoft account as an alias permanently deletes that email address and its mailbox when it is from a Microsoft domain. It cannot be re‑added or restored once removed.

Microsoft documents this behavior for aliases:

“If you remove an alias that's an email address from a Microsoft domain (like @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com, or @msn.com), you're permanently deleting the alias and it can't be associated with any Microsoft account again.”

    That means:

    • The removed Hotmail address cannot be put back on the account.
    • Past mail in that mailbox is not recoverable once the alias is removed.
    • The only option going forward is to continue using the remaining address(es) on the account or create a new Outlook.com address as a separate mailbox.
