Can anyone help me on how to redeem my points? I follow the guide, which is to verify the account, but the verification did not pop out on the Bing app.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this and I understand that you are having an issue with regards to redemption in Microsoft Rewards.

Please refer to the below for the other things that you can check for this.

• Ensure that you are not using or connecting to any VPN or proxy.
• Logout and login to your account to every Microsoft Rewards dashboard that you are into.
• Check and try the dashboard on the Bing app and see if it will be the same.
• Check and try on a different browser as well and ensure that clean up the cache and also ensure that no extension/s installed might interfere with Microsoft Rewards.
• Another thing that you can check and try is to use InPrivate browsing or Incognito mode on whichever browser you are using.
• Also, from the Bing app on your phone, use it to scan the QR code and the link would be a blank page and then check if you will be able to copy the link and paste it into a inPrivate or Incognito mode browsing window and check if it would open thus enabling it to complete the verification.

To redeem Microsoft Rewards points, the account must pass SMS verification, and certain conditions must be met. If verification is not appearing in the Bing app, try these steps and checks:

   • A mobile phone or landline number is required.
   • Voice over IP (VoIP) numbers are not permitted for Microsoft Rewards verification or redemption.
   • If the same phone number has already been used on multiple Rewards accounts, note that there is a limit of 6 accounts per household per phone number. If that limit is reached, use a different phone number.
2. Check for recent failed verification attempts
   • If there have been too many unsuccessful attempts entering verification codes, the system enforces a 48‑hour wait before trying again.
3. Try a different environment
   • If the verification prompt does not appear in the Bing app, sign in to the same Microsoft account in a browser (for example, via the Rewards dashboard or redemption page) and attempt redemption there so the SMS verification can trigger.
   • If issues persist, try a different device or network, as network-related issues can sometimes block or interfere with verification and redemption.
4. Confirm region and location
   • Microsoft Rewards points must be redeemed in the same region as the Microsoft account.
   • Redemption cannot be completed while traveling in another region/market, and using VPNs or proxies that conceal the true location can block earning or redeeming points.
5. General redemption checks
   • Ensure the account is signed in correctly and that the correct verification code is entered exactly as received.
   • If a redemption code is later reported as invalid, verify the code and link carefully; if the problem continues, use the “cannot redeem a code” path or contact Microsoft Rewards Customer Support as indicated in the documentation.
