The forever Loading wheel

Question

I've been trying for about 3 weeks now to install Minecraft. Every time I get stuck on the same step, when it comes to linking my Microsoft account, I get a white box with a small blue loading wheel, and I've let my laptop sit for over 4 hours, and it never goes away. I don't even get to the point of putting in my email or password; the box just never loads.

I've trying to restart my laptop and it just does it again, I thought it might be due it my laptop still being connected to my old account i dont have accect to anymore so i signed out and now i can't even link my new acount to my laptop, I get the same loading wheel and now I'm stuck signed out on my entier laptop, I've checked and my laptop is fully upto date, my internet connection is fine and stable but it never does anything, I can't link my account to my laptop or anything I always get the loading wheel that never loads.

I had to make a new Microsoft account due to the old one being hacked and stolen, they set their fake email as the primary and unadded mine so when I made my new account I ended up reusing that email, the only thing on that account was my minecraft so i wasnt to stressed about it and was told I can't get the account back anyway, I had to re-buy Minecraft due to having a New account and now I can't even use that new account so I've bought the game again and cant even play it.

In the meantime, please try and follow this quick fix.

• Type "Credentials Manager" in the search bar and press Enter.
• Go to Windows Credentials
• Remove all entries:
  1. Contains "Xbl"
  2. Contains "Mojang"
  3. Related to your old account.
• Restart your computer.

The persistent loading wheel when trying to link a Microsoft account is typically caused by a problem with the Microsoft Store / account sign-in components on Windows, especially after account changes or when the device is still tied to an old account.

Use these steps to reset the Store and re-establish the correct account on the device:

1. Reset Microsoft Store cache
   1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
   2. Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
   3. A blank Command Prompt window opens; after about 10 seconds it closes and Microsoft Store opens automatically.
   4. When Store opens, sign in there with the new Microsoft account (the one that owns the new Minecraft purchase).
2. Make sure the device is authorized for the new account
   1. In Microsoft Store, after signing in, ensure the device is associated with this account (Store will prompt if it is not). If needed, follow the guidance in Add a device to your Microsoft account / Manage devices used with your Microsoft account from the referenced articles.
3. Retry Minecraft sign-in
   1. Close any Minecraft/Xbox-related apps.
   2. Reopen the Minecraft launcher and sign in; it should now use the refreshed Store/account session instead of hanging on the loading wheel.

If the issue persists specifically when pushing or installing the app to the device, also verify:

• The device is within the allowed device limit for the account (maximum of 10 devices). If over the limit, remove an old device from the account, then try again.
• The device is on a supported and updated version of Windows 11.
