Hi,

The link to credentials support on this page -

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/credentials/support/help#how-to-submit-a-support-request

When you click on this, it does not work.

https://aka.ms/Credentials-Support

Does not work

It goes to an Azure fault page. I need to be able to update my legal name to book my exam. Can you please resolve the issue or suggest a work around.

Chris

The Credentials Support link is correct; the issue is with how the support portal initializes the first time.

To work around this and update the legal name so an exam can be booked, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Credentials Support portal
      • Go to the online support request page using this link: https://aka.ms/Credentials-Support (from the documentation).
      • If it opens to a generic or “fault”/blank support page with nothing preselected, continue with the next steps.
    2. Initialize the support profile
      • Sign in with the same account used for the Microsoft Learn profile.
      • Complete any required profile/contact details and save.
      • Close the tab when finished.
    3. Reopen the Credentials Support form
      • Open https://aka.ms/Credentials-Support again.
      • This time, the page should automatically select:
        • Product family: Learning
        • Product or Service: Microsoft Credentials
      • If needed, choose the category that best matches the issue (for example, profile or account issues) and submit a support ticket describing that the legal name must be updated and the portal link previously failed.
    4. Update the legal name in Microsoft Learn
      • Ensure sign-in to the correct Learn profile.
      • Go to profile Settings: https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings (from the documentation).
      • Use the Legal name section to request the change.
      • If a message appears instructing to contact Certification Support, follow that link and file a ticket (which will route through the same Credentials Support system initialized above).

If the portal still shows an Azure error after these steps, repeat step 2 from a different browser or in a private/incognito window, then try https://aka.ms/Credentials-Support again so the Learning/Microsoft Credentials options are auto-selected.
