    Hi @Ano Rangga Rahardika

Good day, and thank you for taking the time to share the full technical details, including the error code and the reference identifiers.

From your description, you have redeemed Microsoft 365 Business Premium, however you are currently unable to access it and you receive the message “Something happened” with error code 715 123280.

In most cases, this happens when the redemption is accepted but the subscription creation and account validation process does not complete correctly in the background. As a result, the service cannot finish linking the Business Premium subscription to your sign in session, so the portal shows a generic error page. This may also occur when automated sign up checks require additional verification of the account, billing profile, or network environment used during redemption.

Please try the options below, as they are the most effective advanced steps for this type of access error.

1/ Check subscription status and confirm the license is assigned

    • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center using the same account that redeemed the subscription.
    • Open Billing, select Your products, and confirm Microsoft 365 Business Premium is listed as Active.
    • Open Users, select Active users, choose your account, and confirm the Microsoft 365 Business Premium license is assigned and switched on.
    • If the license is missing or not active, switch it off, save, then switch it on again and save, then sign in to Microsoft 365 once more in a new browser session.

2/ Clear sign in session conflicts and retry from a clean network path

    • Sign out from Microsoft 365 in all browser tabs, then close the browser completely.
    • Open an InPrivate window, then sign in again using only the account that redeemed the subscription, and avoid switching between multiple Microsoft accounts during the same session.
    • Temporarily disable VPN or proxy settings, then retry. If available, test from a different internet connection such as a mobile hotspot to rule out a network reputation block.
    • If the flow requests billing details, confirm the billing country and address match what the payment provider has on file, then attempt access again. [gist.github.com]

3/ Run Microsoft activation diagnostics and submit a support request with your identifiers

    • On the affected Windows device, open the Get Help app and run the Microsoft 365 activation troubleshooter to validate subscription and sign in status.
    • If Office apps are already installed, run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to collect diagnostics for activation and sign in checks.
    • Create a support request from the Microsoft 365 admin center Help and support section, and include the exact identifiers you received so the support team can locate the backend logs quickly.
    • In the request description, state that redemption was completed, but access fails with the “Something happened” page and error code 715 123280, and then paste the EventId, SID, and cV values exactly as shown on the error screen.

    4/ Contact IT administrator:

Since your account is managed by your organization, please contact your IT administrator to review your permissions and policies. If the issue persists after these checks, ask your IT administrator to submit a support request directly to Microsoft Support team.

They can raise a support ticket by visiting: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Moreover, if you cannot sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center, please contact Microsoft Support via phone number: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support - Select your country/region own phone number for support.

As community moderators, we appreciate your understanding that our access to internal development details is limited. Our primary role is to guide users toward the appropriate resources and support channels. While we may not have visibility into deeper backend analysis, we’ll continue doing our best to support you within the scope of our responsibilities.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If you have any updates regarding the issue, please feel free to share them with me.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. I look forward to continuing the conversation.

Error 715-123280 during registration of Microsoft 365 Business Basic is not documented in the provided context. However, the context does cover two common root causes that match similar symptoms: subscription not active/assigned, and domain/account issues.

    Perform these checks in order:

    1. Confirm the Business Basic subscription is active
      1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=2024339
      2. Navigate to Billing > Your products.
      3. Verify that Microsoft 365 Business Basic shows Active.
      4. If it is not Active, resolve the billing or activation issue first, then retry registration.
    2. Assign a Business Basic license to the user
      1. In the admin center, go to Users > Active users.
      2. Select the account that is being used to register/sign in.
      3. Ensure a Microsoft 365 Business Basic license is assigned.
      4. Save changes and sign out/sign in again, then retry.
    3. Complete the guided setup for the tenant
      1. In the admin center Home page, select Dashboard view.
      2. Select Go to guided setup.
      3. Complete domain, email, and app setup as prompted.
    4. Check whether the domain is already in use in another tenant If registration fails when adding or verifying a custom domain:
      1. Review the exact error text during domain verification.
      2. If the message indicates the domain is already verified or added in another Office 365 account, that domain can exist in only one Microsoft 365 organization.
      3. If the domain was previously used in another tenant that is still accessible, sign in as admin to that tenant and remove the domain there first, then add it again in the new tenant.
      4. If the domain is in a tenant that is unknown or inaccessible, contact Office 365 Support to have the domain released from the other organization.
    5. If domain verification fails with other messages Use the specific KB articles referenced for domain verification errors:
      • For "Sorry, we can't find the record you created" and similar DNS issues, see KB 2812447.
      • For generic "Can't verify domain" errors, see KB 2812454.
      • For other domain verification error messages, see KB 2812881.
    6. If the account being used is not recognized as a business account Ensure that the sign-in account is a work/school account associated with the Business Basic subscription (not a personal Microsoft account). Business subscriptions like Microsoft 365 Business Basic are managed under a work or school account and appear under Billing > Your products in the admin center.

If all of the above are correct and the error 715-123280 persists during registration or setup, raise a support request from the Microsoft 365 admin center (Support > Help & support) so Microsoft can review the tenant, subscription, and correlation/event IDs.
