I have successfully connected my printer to my wifi. However, every time I try to print, it prompts that printer error. What should I do?

    Hi,

What specific error code are you getting when printing?

Also, what is the exact make and model of your printer?

In the meantime, try the following:

Click the Start button, then go to Settings.

In Settings, select Update & Security

    Scroll down and click Troubleshoot.

    Select Other troubleshooters.

Look for Printer, then click Run.

If the issue persists, I recommend visiting your printer manufacturer’s support website and downloading then installing the latest driver for your device, restart your printer and computer and check.

Try these steps in order to resolve the printer error on Windows 10:

    1. Power-cycle the printer
      • Turn the printer off and unplug it.
      • Wait at least 30 seconds.
      • Plug it back in and turn it on again.
    2. Check the Wi‑Fi connection
      • On the printer’s display or menu, confirm it is connected to the same Wi‑Fi network as the PC.
      • If available, run the printer’s wireless connectivity test from its menu.
      • If the printer shows any Wi‑Fi error, follow the manufacturer’s instructions to reconnect it to Wi‑Fi.
    3. Verify Windows sees the printer correctly
      • Select Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
      • Make sure the printer appears and is not showing “Printer in error state”.
      • If it does show “error state”, check for low paper/ink, open covers, or paper jams and clear them.
    4. Remove and reinstall the printer
      • In Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, select the printer and choose Remove device.
      • Confirm removal.
      • Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to Wi‑Fi.
      • In the same Printers & scanners page, select Add a printer or scanner (or Add device).
      • Wait for Windows to find the printer, then select it and choose Add device.
      • If it does not appear, choose Add manually and follow the prompts.
    5. If still not working, reinstall drivers from the manufacturer
      • Go to the printer manufacturer’s support site for the exact printer model.
      • Download and install the latest Windows 10 driver/software package.
      • After installation, return to Printers & scanners and ensure the printer is listed and selected as the target printer when printing.
    6. (If the printer is not recognized at all) Restart the Print Spooler service
      • Press Windows key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
      • Find Print Spooler, right‑click it, and select Restart.

After these steps, try printing a test page from Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, select the printer, then use its Manage or Printer properties option to print a test page.
