1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support 
2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below. 
3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account. 
4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm 
5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

If the Google (Gmail) address used on the Microsoft account is no longer active, the sign-in email on the Microsoft account can be changed by adding a new email alias and then making it primary. The canceled Gmail address itself cannot be reactivated or merged, and any data or purchases tied to a different Microsoft account cannot be moved.

Use this approach:

1. Go to the Microsoft account “how you sign in” page: Edit account info.
2. Sign in with the existing Microsoft account credentials (the account that currently uses the canceled Gmail as its sign-in name).
3. Select Add email.
4. Choose either:
   • Create a new Outlook.com email address as an alias, or
   • Add another existing email address from a different provider.
5. Complete any verification steps for the new email.
6. After the new email alias is added, set it as the primary alias (so it becomes the main sign-in email).
7. Once the new primary alias is working, the old Gmail-based alias can be removed if desired.

If there is a separate Microsoft account already using that Gmail address as its own sign-in, accounts cannot be merged. In that case, the Gmail-based Microsoft account would need to be closed after confirming there is no important data or purchases on it, and the Gmail address could then be added as an alias to the remaining Microsoft account only if it is not blocked by the non‑merge and non‑recycle rules described in the references.
