I would like to request for a refund regarding my subscription of Microsoft 365. I was completely unaware of this purchase and I hope for your consideration.

Type "Billing Issue" > click "Get Help" > Scroll down to Sign in to Contact Support > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Payment Updates > Confirm > Chat with a support agent in your web browser

If you and the Support Team are unable to find the transaction in all of your accounts, you'll need to contact your financial institution/bank directly to dispute it, and they may process a refund, as this would be considered a fraudulent charge.

Follow these steps to request a refund for the Microsoft 365 subscription:

1. Sign in to the Services & subscriptions page:
   • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was charged.
   • Ensure the correct account is used, as only the purchasing account can manage that subscription.
2. Cancel the Microsoft 365 subscription:
   • Locate the Microsoft 365 subscription in the list.
   • Select Manage.
   • On the next page, select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on what is shown).
   • Scroll through and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cancellation.
3. Check refund eligibility:
   • For subscriptions purchased directly from Microsoft, refund eligibility is determined after cancellation. Not all cancellations result in a refund.
   • In certain countries (such as Canada, Israel, Korea, Turkey, and some EU countries for renewed subscriptions longer than 1 month), a prorated refund may apply. See the referenced article on countries with prorated refunds for details.
4. If the subscription was purchased through a third party:
   • If the Microsoft 365 subscription was purchased from a third-party retailer (for example, Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, or Google Play), contact that retailer’s customer support directly. Microsoft cannot cancel or refund subscriptions purchased through third parties.
