Old E5 Developer subscription deleted, but no "Set up subscription" option is available

My old Microsoft 365 E5 Developer subscription expired in 2022 and was subsequently deleted. My Developer Program profile is still active, but I don't have the "Set up subscription" or "Create new subscription" option on my dashboard. I'd like to know whether my account is still eligible for a new E5 Developer Sandbox and whether there is an eligibility/provisioning issue with my account.

    Hi @jenfonro

According to Welcome to the Microsoft 365 Developer Program, eligibility for the Microsoft 365 E5 Developer subscription is currently limited and requires one of the following:

    • Active Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise subscription holders
    • ISV Success Program members
    • AI Cloud Partner Program participants
    • Premier or Unified Support Plan members

If you’re using a personal account, please note that it must be linked to an active Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise subscription or be part of one of the supported partner programs listed above.

Since this is a user-to-user support forum, I don’t have access to the internal systems required to investigate individual account eligibility or provisioning issues due to privacy and security constraints. However, I recommend reviewing the Microsoft 365 Developer Program FAQ, which provides the current eligibility criteria and additional guidance.

If you believe you meet the eligibility requirements but still don’t see the Set up subscription or Create new subscription option on your Developer Program dashboard, you can contact Microsoft through Contact Us - Developer Support and ask them to verify your Developer Program account’s eligibility and subscription provisioning status.

Please note that this is a paid support ticket, which means it requires an active support plan or a one-time support purchase. However, the benefit of using this channel is that your inquiry will be routed directly to the Microsoft Product Group responsible for the specific service or feature in question. This team includes engineers and developers who work on the product itself, so they are best positioned to provide accurate, in-depth, and authoritative answers especially for complex or edge-case scenarios that go beyond publicly available documentation or community knowledge.

I hope this helps clarify the eligibility requirements and provides a path to investigate the missing subscription option.
