Please update your Visio to the latest version first, and then please confirm the following information with us.
- Is there any error message when Visio 2019 freezes?
- Does the issue occur in all Visio files or only in a specific file?
- When did this issue start? Have you installed any third-party programs beofre this issue? Such as third-party Add-ins.
Please try the following steps to check this issue:
- Open the Visio app, and go to File> Options> Advanced to check Disable Hardware Graphics Acceleration option under Display group.
- Open the file in safe mode to check this issue: Press
Win
+ R
to open Run app and type visio /safe, click OK and then open the file to have a check.
- A damaged temporary file may cause Visio to freeze or crash. You can open File Explorer and go to %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Visio. Back up and remove these damaged temporary files to check for this issue.
If none of the above does works, please repair your Visio online to check again.
