I have a HP Pavilion 15-bc014nl, with a Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60 Ghz Processor, and I can't believe that Windows 11 doesn't support it. I'm very disappointed.
I don't understand why Microsoft couldn't just switch off the hardware dependent features with a disclaimer.
No one will trust MS after this fiasco.

finally i decide, I will sale my system and will move on mac. i will never use window system again. Becasue after buying new system, they can asked you are able to update again, if you want to update again, buy an other one again. now i cant trust on them.

Same processor on my HP laptop. Spent a pretty penny on it initially and upgrading to SSD, memory etc. Perfectly good specification PC which should have updates post 2025. Would be happy to stay with W10 if upkept after 2025. Not happy about being forced to update my whole laptop to suit W11. Will look for alternative, which also means dropping paid Microsoft subscriptions e.g. Office etc.

I have an HP OMEN 17" gaming laptop with this processor and while it is a few years old now, it was not a cheap laptop when I bought it. I spent a lot of cash upgrading the SSD and the Memory only now to be told it won't support Windows 11. So at this point I'm stuck on Win 10 for as long as MS chooses to support it, or migrating to Linux for the future.
I have a iPhone and iPad and at this point if I am going to spend $1500 or more on my next laptop It going to be a MacBook and Microsoft will never see a red cent of my future purchases.

But your requirment docs for windows 11 supports this processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz . so why can't i update my Alienware r3 17. TPM turned on. It is a coding issue guys in windows. look at your code. and allow these devices to be supported. Intel only follows your lead so do not say Dell is to blame. Please advise what the issue with the wrong information. If you need a snap shot of your requiremnets I will send it.

@John Stephens I believe that list is for Windows 10, not Windows 11. Here's the list for Windows 11: https://learn.microsoft.com/it-it/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-22h2-supported-intel-processors
The i7-7600HQ is not in the list...
And it's been two years since the realese. This means there is not intention of supporting this CPU at all. And it was a pretty good and expensive CPU!
I have this experience, that if you do a clean install from Windows 11 OFFICIAL media (not cracked with system requirements), it will not require anymore TPM 2.0 nor 8th gen cpu. It only will require TPM but it can be 1.2. But upgrade still have heavier requirements.
