Why is "Create your own application" option disabled in Azure AD 'New Enterprise Application Page'

I'm trying to test SAML SSO for an application I develop with Azure AD as the IdP, using the Azure AD that comes with my Microsoft 365 account.

When I try to add our application in 'Enterprise applications', the 'Create your own application' is disabled. How do I enable this option, so I can configure our app with AD?

    Hi @Will Stallard ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand that you are looking to configure an application using Enterprise Application, but button is disabled for you.

The reason is you do not have permission to create the application. User should have any of the below roles to create an enterprise application.
    1.Global Administrator,
    2.Cloud Application Administrator
    3.Application Administrator

Admin can assign the role to user following this.

    Thanks,
    Shweta
