Export To a csv File exports x500 format address for To, CC & BCC fields in Outlook

Hi All,

Whenever I try to export mails from a folder in my Outlook to a csv file using the Export To a File option, the

To: (Address) , CC: (Address)

fields show up x500 format address values instead of regular SMTP, not sure what needs to be done to see SMTP, kindly help meBCC: (Address)

    Issue Symptom:
    When export mails from a folder in Outlook to a csv file using the Export To a File option, the To: (Address) , CC: (Address) fields show up x500 format address values instead of regular SMTP.

    (Possible) Causes:
    This is by design, since outlook uses X.500 Address to identify users (NOT SMTP Address) within Exchange Organization. And we cannot change this behavior.

    Hi Joyceshen-MSFT,
    I posted this question in multiple forums and you were the first one to revert with a reply, many thanks for the firstly..... I too started feel the same thing after checking all Outlook options, looks like this works that way by design, anyways thanks again or looking into this.

    Unfortunately, this behaivour is probably by design (the way Microsoft program it by some unknown reason :) ).
    I wrote my own powershell script to perform export to CSV. It export specified set of folders with subfolders. And always get SMTP type email address from Outlook:
