Ok I had issues enabling dev mode for series x. I followed the instructions above but developer mode didn't show up. So two things:

One is that I was holding the buttons down as I pushed them. Just pushed each button one at a time and let it go.

The second thing is that I think I'm confused as to which are my bottom buttons and which are my top buttons. I pushed LT RT LB RB. Maybe I'm backwards but I was thinking that the buttons on the top would be the ones closest to the other buttons and the bottom ones would be the ones closer to the battery compartment.

    Anyway, try both ways.

Hi, so I’m just learning of this new feature on the new Gen consoles. Do you have to pay to have access to Dev Mode? I see you can activate the dev settings by hitting bumpers n triggers though…. What can I do with Dev Mode? I’m not saying I want to, but I heard you can cheat in games, which is quite over the top since most console games don’t have cheats these days. I would like to attempt making a game myself at some point too but just atm want to check these features out. I have the series S. i got to about where it tells me to enter a activation code but the site it says to go to, aka.ms/activateXbox just brings me to a menu type looking webpage. I don’t want to have to pay for being a developer. Google doesn’t make you pay for Dev mode on Chrome.
