I have a server with Exchange 2019
with two accepted domains : ex. domain1.com and domain2.com
when I add a new user in AD, or in Exchange admin,
the new user has automatically assigned the email with domain1.com
how do I make sure that the mailbox is on domain2 instead?
neither in edit user I can't change default mailbox.
sorry but sysadmin leaves and i never managed exchange servers.

You can use an Email Address Policy based on some criteria or set manually when you add a new user

tnx for reply,
but in "mail flow" i have found only default policy, with domain1.com,
but there are already old users with "domain2.com"
and I don't know how the old sysadmin has entered these users,
also I checked shell history but haven't found how he added these users with mailbox "domain2.com"
You dont need a policy. You can add manually
in <recipients> add (+) new mailbox and
automatically new useris added as user1@contoso1.com (can't change domain)
I don't known how to create/change user1 mailbox as contoso2.com (second accepted domain) --->users1@contoso2.com
how can manually create o modify?
if i add smtp users1@contoso2.com this remain as secondary address and can't remove users1@contoso1.com
