Azure group linked into teams

Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

For some reason we have an azure group that is now linked into Teams? We need help to remove this link.

We created a Security group that is connected to Teams, SharePoint and Outlook as seen on the screen shot below

We wants only the teams group deleted and it wont affect the Security group we created

It is not possible to remove the MS Teams without deleting the group:

Deleting a team also deletes the group associated with it in Teams

Hello @IBN ,

When you create a team's channel, a M365 group is created and it creates group links to outlook, sharepoint and teams and this is the default behavior. Please check this document for more information.

If you don't want the group linked to teams, then create the group(security/M365) in azure portal which does not link to teams.

Security group created in AAD portal,

M365 group created in AAD portal,

Teams channel created in teams,
