Troubleshoot and FAQs about Dynamics 365 App for Outlook
This may happen when the organizer of the appointment tracks the appointment using Dynamics 365 App for Outlook. As the product performance continues to improve, unavoidable race conditions may happen leading to a second invitation being sent out.
This behavior is avoided if the Immediate Track functionality is turned off for the app. This means that when the user tracks an appointment, it'll take up to a few minutes until it appears in Dynamics. During this time, the user doesn’t need to keep the appointment open, as the user can carry on with their work.
The appointment will be created asynchronously, using server-side synchronization.
If you would like to apply this setting, open a support request.
When a user is composing an appointment, in draft status, and tracking it, one invitation is sent.
Once the user is done and sending the appointment, then Outlook sends a second invitation with the final format of the appointment. Consider tracking appointments after finishing their final format and sending them.

If you have enabled Internet-facing deployment on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Server and Configure the AD FS and still have issues with authentication, then do the following:
- On the server, open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager program.

- Expand XRMServices and then select 2011.
- Double-click on Authentication in the features view.
- Right-click on the Windows Authentication row and then select Enable if it's disabled.
- Right-click again on the Windows Authentication and then select Providers.
- For each of the listed providers, select the provider and then choose Remove.
- Close Providers window.

However, when scripts that don't rely on cookie authentication are used, those are rendered on a Form in Dynamics 365 App for Outlook. An example of this is the use of XRM WebAPI.
