Deactivate and delete forecasts

You can deactivate or delete forecasts that are no longer required in your organization.

Deactivate a forecast

You can deactivate forecasts that are that are no longer required in your organization. You can view the list of deactivated forecasts under the Inactive tab.

Important

• You can't activate a forecast after you deactivate it.
• Don’t deactivate a forecast through any other options such as Advanced find. Use only forecast configuration page to deactivate forecasts.

1. Open the Forecast configuration page.

   The forecast configuration page opens.

   

2. Select the More options icon corresponding to the forecast that you want to deactivate, and then select Deactivate.

   

   A confirmation message is displayed.

   

3. Select Deactivate.

   The forecast is deactivated and listed under the Inactive tab.

   

Delete a forecast

You can permanently delete a forecast that is in the active, inactive, or draft state.

1. Open the Forecast configuration page.

   The forecast configuration page opens.

   

2. Select the More options icon corresponding to the forecast that you want to deactivate, and then select Delete.

   

   A confirmation message is displayed.

   

3. Select Delete.

   The forecast is deleted permanently from your organization.

Can't find the feature in your app?

There are a few possibilities:

• You don't have the necessary license to use this feature. Check out the comparison table and the licensing guide to see which features are available with your license.
• You don't have the necessary security role to use this feature.
  • To configure or setup a feature, you need to have the Administration and customization roles
  • To use sales-related features, you need to have the Primary sales roles
  • Some tasks require specific Functional roles.
• Your administrator hasn't turned on the feature.
• Your organization is using a custom app. Check with your administrator for exact steps. The steps described in this article are specific to the out-of-the-box Sales Hub and Sales Professional apps.
