Business value

The frequently bought together model is a data-driven tool that helps retailers make decisions on product placement and promotions based on insights on closely related products. It identifies the combinations of products that are most often bought together, revealing associated products that could be placed closer together to promote cross-selling activity and boost joint sales.

Retailers can compare frequently bought together revenues to measure the performance of promotion action, seasonality, and new shelf assortment by comparing two different time periods. They can also compare customer behavior by comparing different stores of different geography, population, and surface area, and product groups that drive more revenue by comparing items.
