Buy Microsoft Action Pack
Appropriate roles: Global admin | MPN Partner admin
The Microsoft Action Pack includes software, support, and benefits that can jumpstart your business growth. This program provides you with benefits and software license grants so that you can use them to grow your business. This membership once purchased allows you to choose benefits from two different subscriptions:
- Microsoft Action Pack (Action Pack)
- Learning Action Pack (Learning Action Pack)
Note
You can pick only one Microsoft Action Pack or Learning Action Pack per Partner Global account.
Join the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program (prerequisite)
If you're new to partnering with Microsoft, the first step is to join the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program.
- Go to the Membership sign-in page and select Join now.
After you've joined the partner network, select Get started to buy your first Action Pack.

Prerequisites to purchase Microsoft Action Pack
Before you can purchase the Action Pack, you must fulfill following two conditions:
- Ensure your organization has joined the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program.
- You should be a Global admin or MPN Partner Admin user in Partner Center. If you don't have one of those roles, you won't have access to some of the Partner Center pages described in this article. If that happens, contact your Global admin and ask them to assign you the appropriate role.
Purchase Microsoft Action Pack
Use the following instructions to buy a Microsoft Action Pack:
Sign in to Partner Center and select Membership.
Select Membership offers.
Select Microsoft action pack subscription and then Buy now.
A pane opens.
On the pane, select Microsoft action pack subscription and read the instructions.
Select the checkbox and select Accept agreement & place order.
A payment pop-up appears.
Select either Credit card or Wire Transfer, then Proceed.
Depending on the country, you will either see both the credit card option and wire transfer option or only wire transfer option.
Download Microsoft Action Pack invoice
To download your Action Pack invoice follow following instructions:
- Sign in to Partner Center and select Membership.
- Select Bills and Payments.
- Select a purchase row and then Download invoice.
Choose Microsoft Action Pack or Learning Action Pack
After Microsoft Action Pack purchase and when you go to Benefits workspace, you'll be prompted to choose one of the two Action Packs offerings, Microsoft Action Pack or Learning Action Pack. You can view and compare the benefits of both options in Action Pack benefits and license details.
Alternately, you can also download the Action Pack benefits guide. Read the descriptions of the two types and choose the one that suits your company's needs best.
Important
After you choose one of the Action Packs and save your choice, that choice is permanent for the rest of the year. The selection screen won't be available to you again until your next renewal period.
Microsoft Action Pack renewal
You can renew your Action Pack subscription only after it expires. For example, if your Action Pack subscription expires on June 22, you can renew it starting June 23. You can find your Action Pack subscription's expiration date on your membership offers page (sign-in required). When you're eligible to renew, follow the steps documented at the renewal page.
Important
Your membership renewal date is different than the date when your benefits actually expire (post you have activated them). Your cloud benefits and internal-use rights (IURs) activated on Microsoft 365 Admin Center portal aren't renewed automatically when you renew your Action Pack subscription. You would need to redeem the cloud software subscription keys by going to Benefits workspace and then using these keys to extend the end date in Microsoft 365 Admin Center portal.
For example, an Action Pack subscription that was purchased on 1st July 2022 will be eligible for membership renewal on 2nd July 20222. However, if you activated benefits in Microsoft 365 Admin Center portal on 18th August 2022, these benefits will NOT be automatically extended on renewal of your Microsoft membership. You will need to get the new keys and use them to extend the end date in Microsoft 365 Admin portal.
Cancel your Action Pack
To cancel your Microsoft Action Pack and request a refund, the following conditions should be met:
- Action Pack Purchase can be canceled only within 30 days.
- None of the benefits are consumed or redeemed.
- Submit a support request in Partner Center.
Action Pack benefits and software license details
There are two types of Action Pack to choose from, Learning Action Pack and Microsoft Action Pack. The information in these tables is intended to help partners understand the product licenses included in Microsoft Action Pack (Action Pack) and the Learning Action Pack (Learning Action Pack).
